Somatic Experiencing (SE™) is a potent method for resolving trauma symptoms and relieving chronic stress. It is the life’s work of Dr. Peter A. Levine, resulting from his multidisciplinary study of stress physiology, psychology, ethology, biology, neuroscience, indigenous healing practices, and medical biophysics, together with over 45 years of successful clinical application. The SE approach releases traumatic shock, which is key to transforming PTSD and other emotional or early developmental trauma-inducing wounds. I have advanced certification and training from Dr. Peter Levine and Linda Stelte, SE™ Faculty, Trauma Counselors & Educators.
The intention of MindBody therapy is to support the processes of healing and transformation while working with every aspect of an individual- psychologically, psychically, spiritually, energetically, socially, and environmentally. In MindBody therapy, a practitioner recognizes the interwoven connection between these aspects of an individual and works in an integrative capacity to enhance vitality and well-being. My teachers include Dr. Christine Caldwell Ph.D., BC-DMT, LPC, NCC, ACS, Dr. Rae Johnson, Dr. Maureen Gallager, and Dr. Abert Wong.
Neuroaffective Touch®: Somatic Touch for Healing Emotional & Relational Trauma is an approach integrating the therapeutic use of touch, nonverbal communication, and somatic psychotherapy. It increases capacity for emotional connection and bodily presence. Our bodies carry the imprint of our early relational experiences. Develop a loving container in which body and mind can thrive in an empathic dance between a deeply feeling body and an embodied psyche. I was trained by Dr. Aline LaPierre.
Pelvic Fasica Trainer - Franklin Method
The Franklin Method® uses Dynamic Neuro-cognitive Imagery™, anatomical embodiment and educational skills to create lasting positive change in your body and mind. The Franklin Method was founded by Eric Franklin in 1994 and is taught all over the world, including the Universities of Vienna, Cologne, Karlsruhe and the Juilliard School in New York.
Dr. Dan Seigal of the Mindsight Institute pioneered Interpersonal Neurobiology (IPNB), the study of the consilience across a wide array of fields. IPNB is the synthesis of independent discoveries from a range of disciplines, from physics and neuroscience to psychology and anthropology. It provides a working definition of the mind and mental health that offers a unique way of approaching the cultivation of health in our lives.
Integrative Somatic Parts Work
Internal Family Systems is a comprehensive therapeutic paradigm which views the multiplicity of the mind as our natural state and our parts as sub-personalities that may be healed and transformed by allowing Self to emerge as leader of the inner system. I learned my methods from Frances D. Booth LlCSW.
